We shared this paleo meal with friends over the weekend, but chased it with some decidedly non-paleo beverages and desserts!

Paleo/Primal Journal:
.
Of course, you can attempt a paleo/primal sort of 30-day challenge ANY TIME on your own, but if you are asking for our help in maintaining/troubleshooting your 30-day diet, we require that you keep a detailed Food Journal. Please feel free to download and use our template:
Landstuhl CrossFit Food Journal
.
Specifics:
* Include everything you put in your mouth (supplements and liquid calories count too)
* Keep your journal on you wherever you go.
* Record at least the start time of each meal, although including duration would be even better – this gives us an idea of how long you go between meals and how fast you are eating them.
* Record your mood, if it is significant.
.
I really have to emphasize: there is absolutely no cheating allowed during our Paleo/Primal 30 Day Challenge!!!!!!! Robb Wolf says it only takes a little bit of gluten every 10 days to keep the gut inflamed. Get true results – DON’T CHEAT YOURSELVES and don’t waste our time trying to troubleshoot why paleo/primal eating didn’t help you significantly toward reaching your goals at the end of 30 days.
.
I know what we are asking: sometimes it is easier to put out hard in the Daily WOD and collapse trembling and nauseous in a dark corner than it is to take the 2 minutes each meal to note your food intake, but this daily food log will show at a glance how your mood, sleep, workout intensity, and relaxation levels at each meal effect your intake, and will keep you mindful of food’s impact on daily activities as well as workout performance.
.
Your diet is the key not only to increased lean mass and muscle gains, but also to optimal health – you’ll experience increased energy levels, reduced inflammation, and faster recovery before the 30 days are up. But we will need to see your food journal if you’re experiencing serious problems and need help, get stuck, or have any questions – it will have all the information we need to set you straight and keep you going.
